Disneyland Paris- The Land of Fairytales

EN:
Disneyland Paris opened April 12, 1992 as EuroDisneyland, so we were lucky to visit them on the year of their 20th anniversary. We chose a two-park, one day ticket, allowing us to visit both Disneyland Paris and the Walt Disney Studios Park next door. We went there on a gloomy November Tuesday, decision which proved to be very wise in the end. The number of visitors was slightly smaller compared to what we had read about the peak season, warmer days and the week-ends, a thing that reduced significantly the time we spent waiting in long queues. After having read horror reviews on the internet prior to our departure, where people were complaining of waiting in line for even 90 minutes (!!!) for some attractions and not being able to try more than 8 on one day, we were happy and proud to be able to try ALL OF THEM! J Just perfect. Still, you should make use of the Fast Pass system available for certain key attractions in order to beat the queues. My favourites were Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Carribean, Rustler’s Roundup Shootin’ Gallery (yes, we couldn’t have missed shooting), Phantom Mansion (all from Disneyland Park), The Twilight Zone Tower and Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith from the Walt Disney Studios Park. Unfortunately, Armaggedon was closed that day, but I heard that it’s totally worth it. I wouldn’t recommend Star Tours to those who suffer of motion sickness, it is far from being spectacular, it just bounces you left/right and up/down until it brings your stomach up your throat.
If you've never been to Disneyland Paris before, the first thing to do is check the times of the spectacular parades featuring all your favourite Disney characters. Trust me, you’re going to love it, whatever your age. Since it was November and extremely cold outside, they added the flavor of some fake snow flakes to the parade, so it felt like pure magic. The Meet& Greets are another unique Disneyland attraction. You have the opportunity to have your picture taken with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy and many others. You can even pose with your favourite Disney Princesses who have their own Pavilion or get their autographs. Also, Disneyland Paris features what might be the world's most impressive Disney castle, Le Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant (Sleeping Beauty's Castle, in French), with an impressive design and decor.
RO:

Here comes the Parade

Paris, Je T’Aime!

EN:
I’ve been extremely eager to share with you some of my beautiful Paris memories. From visiting the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum (I recommend going there early in the morning, to avoid long queues and immense crowds), seeing the famous Mona Lisa and Napoleon’s apartments, seeing the Arc de Triomphe, walking along the charming Champs Elysees with all its tempting stores until reaching Place de la Concorde and Place Vendome, then L’Eglise de la Madeleine and the Opera, since they were both in the area, the first two days in Paris went by perfectly. Of course, I could not have missed Notre Dame de Paris, the Love Bridge (I was impressed by the number of locks on it), the unique Montmartre and a ride with the pittoresque funicular up to La Basilique du Sacre Coeur. Although it was getting late already, we then wandered on the streets to find the Moulin Rouge and the Dome of Invalides. The only downside of the trip was the fact that, while waiting in line on the second floor of the Eiffel Tour, my ticket for the elevator up to the third floor got stolen from my pocket (they were probably interested in my bag, actually, but I was holding it with both hands), so, after having waited in line for quite some time, I realized that I was missing my ticket. It was quite disappointing, but now I have a reason to return to Paris some day. This and the fact that I still missed some attractions, such as the Versailles Palace, the Pantheon and the Catacombs and only got to see others from the outside. I’ll leave you with a photo diary. If you have questions or are planning a trip there and need some extra tips, let me know. Stay tuned, because I am planning a second Paris post, with details from the amazing Disneyland!

RO:
Va las in compania unor fotografii.
