Last week-end I had dinner at On Plonge Junior. You can read my previous post about this restaurant here. This time we ordered wild mussels in what was supposed to be a butter and brandy sauce with buttered basmati rice. Desert was Nougat glace with candied fruit, crunch, caramel sauce, almonds and berries. I can honestly tell you that the only thing we truly enjoyed was the desert. The main course was…well, completely lacking the main ingredient to give it some taste: the sauce (check out the pictures below to see for yourselves) was absent, while the ‘buttered basmati rice’ came as plain basmati rice. Consequently, the taste was extremely plain- and that comes from a person who loves mussels.
Desert was a different story. Rich, creamy, crunchy and fruity, with a texture similar to ice cream, still slightly different. It made me want to return there in the summertime, and enjoy it on the terrace while watching the sunset.

Week-end-ul trecut am iesit la restaurant, la On Plonge Junior, despre care v-am mai povestit aici. De aceasta data, am comandat midii salbatice in sos de unt si coniac, cu garnitura de orez basmati cu unt. Desertul a constat in nuga glace cu fructe confiate, crant, caramel, migdale si sos din fructe de padure. Sincer, singurul fel care ne-a placut cu adevarat a fost desertul. Primul fel a fost…incomplet, in sensul ca ii lipsea principalul ingredient care sa-i ofere gust: sosul (puteti sa va convingeti privind fotografiile). La fel si untul din orezul basmati, pe care, oricat l-am cautat, nu l-am detectat in farfurii. Prin urmare, gustul a fost extrem de fad- luati in considerare ca aceasta afirmatie vine de la cineva care iubeste midiile.
Desertul a fost, insa, o alta poveste. Delicios, cremos, crocant si fructat, cu o textura similara inghetatei si totusi diferita. L-as savura cu placere vara, pe terasa restaurantului, admirand asfintitul.Nu uitati sa va inscrieti la Giveaway-ul THBoxes aici!
